Preparing for Employability

At INTI, we build and sustain relationships between employers, lecturers, and students for talent development and graduate success. We bring industry professionals and practitioners into our classroom for our lecturers and students to understand industry or employer requirements, insights, and expectations so that our students are industry-ready even before their graduation.

These programmes and collaborations with leading employers and industry players are carried out in the interest of graduate talent development. They consist of various key initiatives:

Employer Project

Employer Project (EP) / Final Year Project (FYP) / CSR Project are projects carried out with employers that highlight real problems or case studies. Projects are also mapped to course learning outcomes, allowing students to apply the knowledge they learn in the classroom and embark on a problem finding and problem solving process.

INTI Leadership Series

The INTI Leadership Series is a signature event for thought leaders to share their insights, failures and success stories. It is a monthly session featuring successful business leaders, entrepreneurs or INTI alumni who have created a positive impact in their respective fields and have made a difference in society. They will also tackle trending topics like entrepreneurship, leadership and innovation, among others. These outstanding individuals serve to inspire INTI students who hope to achieve success in their own respective fields one day.

Workshop & Bootcamp

The Career Preparation Workshop (CPW) is a series of workshops presented and delivered by employers to guide and prepare pre-final semester, final semester and pre-internship students to equip them for real-world employment. These workshops cover resume writing, creating a strong LinkedIn Profile, business etiquette, executive presence, professional grooming and mock job interviews.

Career Fair & On-Campus Recruitment

Career Fair gathers employers, headhunters, recruiters and university / colleges  for interactive sessions where students can benefit from job and internship opportunities being offered.

On-Campus Recruitment (OCR) is a platform that allows students to meet employers and attend interviews on-campus / virtually and secure job offers even before completion of studies.

Industry Advisory Board

Industry Advisory Board sessions bring together academics, employers, professional bodies and government regulatory bodies to contribute to ways to strategize, design, develop, and deliver INTI’s curriculum in order to make it current and relevant to industry needs.

Industry Awards

Industry Awards is an initiative by industry partners to recognize outstanding students or graduands for their excellent performance in academics, extra-curricular activities,  leadership, project innovativeness and individual competitiveness. These awards are normally given out during INTI’s Graduation Ceremony.

Design Thinking

Design thinking emphasizes hands-on skills and collaboration, driven by user input to develop products or services that people need. In this course, students examine design thinking methodologies, processes, and tools. They explore design thinking theories and how it can be applied to situations relevant to various academic disciplines and organizational roles. Students will also examine how they can harness the power of design thinking to create value for businesses, organizations, and society.

Faculty Industry Attachment

Faculty Industry Attachment is an initiative where selected faculty members are placed with employers or industry partners for a 96-hour attachment. The goal is to immerse academics in our partner’s workplace environment to gain a clearer understanding of the scope of work and competencies needed by the entry level graduate hire. The lecturer then becomes the industry partner’s ambassador on campus.
