The INTI Orientation Experience

August 26, 2024

Have you ever wondered what your first day at INTI would be like? For prospective students or those curious about joining us, this is a glimpse into what to expect! One of the most recent orientation sessions took place on 15 August 2024 at INTI International College Subang (IICS) where over 600 students filled two halls with anticipation and energy.

Are you curious about what your first day might look like? Let’s take a closer look!

A Warm Welcome

Orientation day began with students gathering in the IICS auditorium to kick off the programme. Over 30 enthusiastic student facilitators from various INTI clubs greeted newcomers at the front gate, elevators, and auditorium, ensuring everyone felt welcomed and comfortable on their first day. With the help of two engaging emcees and additional facilitators, students were guided and entertained throughout the day, leaving no room for confusion or anxiety.

IICS Chief Executive Dr Jane Lim said during her opening speech, “Your success is our top priority. Our faculty and staff are here to guide and support you.”

Informative Presentations

To familiarise students with life at INTI, a series of presentations were delivered by key figures, including lecturers, student club presidents, the counselling team, the IT team, and more. The highlight was a speech from Dr Jane Lim, Chief Executive of INTI International College Subang, who provided valuable insights and inspiration into the journey ahead.

Ice Breaking Session

The day was filled with interactive activities designed to foster connections among students. One highlight was an ice-breaking session led by orientation leaders, where a ball-throwing game created by facilitators brought the hall to life and helped the new students bond with one another.

New students actively participate in the ice-breaking session and engage in activities prepared by the facilitators.

Talent Showcase

INTI is known for its vibrant community of talented individuals. During the orientation, students were treated to energetic performances by the INTI Dance Club and the IICS Ichoir, adding to the excitement as they began their academic journey.

The INTI Dance Club performed to welcome new students during the orientation, showcasing their talent and enthusiasm to create an engaging atmosphere.

Campus Tour

A guided tour of the campus, led by Ousmane Sow from the 48th INTIMA student government, provided new students with a comprehensive understanding of the campus layout. They explored important facilities, classrooms, and amenities, gaining a sense of familiarity with their new environment in a welcoming and engaged manner so that they may thrive in the INTI community.
