Ramsun Ho and Tan Chye Suan, parents to Horstann Ho Rui Yao – a Cambridge A-Levels (CAL) student at INTI International College Penang, shared that they were thrilled and grateful when they learnt that their son was awarded INTI’s Vision Scholarship.

“With the present pandemic, our income has been adversely affected, so the scholarship provided by INTI has been a significant financial assistance. We were relieved when we received the scholarship news, because we can now keep the finances we have saved and use it for Horstann’s undergraduate programme and for our two other children’s tertiary education too,” shared Ramsun and Chye Suan.

The parents of three continued by stating that during these trying times, they are certain most parents share their concerns about the uncertainties for their children in the future. However, with INTI’s help they are reassured and thankful that their child is still able to continue his studies unhindered and that he was permitted to sit for his exams amidst the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO).

Both Ramsun and Chye Suan also expressed that the scholarship news was particularly meaningful to them since they decided to enrol their son into INTI after hearing great reviews about the institution from their nieces, nephews, and children of a few family friends.

“To have the institution acknowledge his academic abilities simply reinforced our conviction that INTI was the right choice for Horstann’s pre-university education,” they chimed.

Sumathi K.R. Krishnan Kutty, mother to Sneha Harikannan – a Diploma in Mass Communication student at INTI International College Subang, shared that she was just as grateful to INTI for the assistance because it has also helped reduced the financial obligations in her household.

“The scholarship opportunity for Sneha has been extremely helpful, especially during a time like this. After seeing how hard Sneha worked for her SPM, I am thrilled that INTI recognises deserving and academically excellent students,” she said.

After observing her daughter going through her online lessons at home, Sumathi also shared her appreciation for INTI’s online learning and how it has impacted her daughter. She remarked that what she was particularly impressed with was her daughter’s academic and personal development and she credits it to the kind of assignments provided from her lessons, along with the positive feedback and insightful guidance she received from her lecturers at INTI.

For Foo Xiaoxuan, who is also a recipient of INTI’s scholarship, the scholarship awarded to her serves as a reminder that hard work and dedication pays off, apart from having it ease the finances of her parents.

“Besides the hard work I have put into my IGCSE, I could not have obtained this scholarship without the encouragement and support of my parents. This scholarship motivates me to keep working harder and to continue making my parents proud,” shared Xiaoxuan who expressed that her parents were excited and proud of her when they received news about INTI’s scholarship.

Tan Lin Nah, Chief Executive Officer of INTI, shared that INTI offers a range of scholarships and awards for secondary school leavers, as opportunities for them to excel in their tertiary education.

“Under our nation’s current circumstances, we understand the significance of any kind of financial support rendered by higher education institutions to students and their families. We are glad to be able to offer some assistance to students who have worked hard for these opportunities and to provide them the world-class education that they deserve,” shared Lin Nah.
