INTI, having facilitated the transfer of over 11,000 Malaysian students to American universities, plays a vital role in helping students realise their academic and career aspirations, and recently hosted a forum that looked into the concept of the American Dream.
Children with special needs are the centre of attention in INTI’s C.S.R. (Cares, Supports, Returns) initiative to create awareness of and support for the underprivileged in society. INTI International College Penang (IICP) has joined forces with Motorola Solutions to promote innovative learning among local university and college students. As organizer and sponsor of MOTO Innocup 2013 respectively, IICP and Motorola Solutions have introduced a challenging intervarsity embedded system software competition to cultivate present and future generations of solution providers.
30 INTI students gained valuable cross-cultural educational experience through a 3-day trip to Bangkok, Thailand, that also provided international exposure and opportunities for innovative learning, individual development and networking.
Cambridge A Level students across INTI’s campuses enjoyed an overall passing rate of 96 per cent, with 26 per cent of them scoring 3As and above and 12 percent achieving 4As and above in the May/June 2013 exam. The recently released results indicate that they have the right approach to excel in a challenging yet globally recognized pre-university examination.
Individual development and innovative learning are vital ingredients for graduate success at INTI College Sabah, where competitions such as ICS Hospitality Fiesta are organized to hone students’ practical abilities and equip them with the right attitude and skills to take on greater challenges and responsibilities.
INTI’s Haunted Mansion, with a host of students stalking its halls as the ‘undead’, proved to be a major attraction, drawing over 1,200 visitors in four days and raising RM20,000 for charity in the process. For the organisers, it was an exercise in individual development and innovative learning, as they had built the mansion from scratch and in working as a team, enhanced their leadership, analytical and inter-personal abilities.
