INTI International University & Colleges recently inked a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Cavite State University (CvSU), one of the Philippines’ premier universities in a ceremony hosted virtually. The collaboration will see the exchange of students, staff, faculty, and researchers, the implementation of joint research projects and funding, curriculum mapping and design, as well as other initiatives mutually beneficial to both universities.
The virtual ceremony saw INTI International University & Colleges represented by its Chief Executive Officer, Chong Kok Wai, while CvSU was represented by Dr. Ma Agnes P. Nuestra, Officer-in-Charge from the Office of the University President.

Cavite State University was founded in 1906 as the Indang Intermediate School with the American Thomasites as the first teachers. The University offers close to 100 programmes at the undergraduate and graduate levels. It has more than 25,000 students and 1,200 faculty and staff from all campuses.
INTI International University & Colleges Chief Executive Officer Chong Kok Wai said both institutions share areas of interest that have one thing in common – knowledge creation.

“We have a common need for continuous research to ensure that the knowledge we seek to create and impart is relevant with the needs of the economy and society,” he said.
He said the partnership will contribute to the growth of INTI and help both institutions in their quest to provide world class education and research by combing their strengths and expertise.

Meanwhile, Dr. Ma Agnes P. Nuestra, Officer-in-Charge from CvSU’s Office of the University President, lauded the collaboration.
“It is most humbling to witness this partnership between Cavite State University and INTI. I hope the salient features stated in the MoA which will involve faculty, students, and staff will greatly benefit us in facilitating the advancement of knowledge,” she said.

Before the event ended, AP. Ts. Dr. Choo Wou Onn, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Cross Functional Centres) of INTI International University & Colleges, expressed that implementing collaborative programmes, symposiums, conferences, and other academic initiatives would benefit both institutions in the long-term. He added that he looks forward to welcoming fellow academics from Cavite State University at INTI soon.
