INTI International University & Colleges entered a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Alpro Pharmacy on 21st December 2022 in a ceremony held at the INTI International University campus in Nilai.
The agreement was signed by Chong Kok Wai, Chief Executive Officer of INTI International University & Colleges, and Ph. Wong Siew Piin, Operations Director of Alpro Pharmacy Sdn. Bhd. in the presence of representatives from both organizations.
“INTI’s biggest goal has always been to produce highly employable graduates who are career ready. We look beyond providing our graduates with just a degree, but also to prepare them to contribute to the wider society – and we do this through extensive collaborations with employers. INTI has some 600 industry partners who enrich the learning journey of our students,” said Kok Wai in his address.
Chong Kok Wai, Chief Executive Officer of INTI International University & Colleges, pointed out that INTI’s biggest goal has always been to produce highly employable graduates who are career ready.
He added that it is through these collaborations that INTI is able able to constantly update students with the knowledge and skills required for them to thrive in the career they choose.
“Working with the industry means we can bridge skills gaps and provide employers with competent and capable talents. And this is only possible if we have support, input, and involvement from the industry on matters involving our teaching, learning and research,” he said.
The collaboration with Alpro Pharmacy will see both parties work on initiatives and projects that develop skills to enhance their employability. These include employer projects, joint CSR projects, internship and job opportunities, coaching and mentoring sessions, career preparation workshops, and industry sharing knowledge sessions.
Kok Wai mentioned that Alpro will also organise health screening booths at INTI campuses.
Meanwhile, Siew Piin applauded INTI for its efforts of constantly partnering with industry players to mould and nurture graduates for the 21st century workforce.

“Cooperation between the industries and educational institutions are very important. We need to equip students with the right skills before they step into the employment world. Hence, education inside and outside of the classroom plays a very important role in building knowledge among students. In this regard, I believe that INTI has been a driving force in establishing and producing skilled graduates.
