INTI International University and Colleges will be pioneering a joint academic research together with Kasatria, a key player representing Google Analytics 360 across ASEAN and the only Premium Google Analytics Partner based in Malaysia. This initiative is part of their ongoing strategy to help the industry embrace data-driven marketing, by proving that brands are able to predict the interests of customers based on observations of their past behavior on digital platforms.

INTI, as one of Malaysia’s leading education institutes has been awarded a grant of RM25,000.00 from Kasatria to work hand-in-hand in researching user’s Digital Body Language, an upcoming IT trend that is geared to help businesses understand how their prospects are responding to their efforts. This research will be undertaken by INTI’s students under the University of Wollongong (UOW), an establishment that is currently ranked as one of the top 2% of universities in the world.

The research which kicks off in January 2017 has been categorized into two phases. Phase one, which is set to end by February 2017 will help define, identify, establish and prove that digital body language can be interpreted in a user’s interest. Phase two, which is set to end by April 2017 will complete the concluded research; with the experiments and analyzation of results. It is hoped that with the completion of phase one and phase two that a research journal and publication be published.

“I am very pleased to see that INTI has accepted this partnership and grant of RM25,000 to conduct this research with their students. The world of IT is an ever evolving entity, hence actively conducting new research is a must. This gives us valuable information and insights about the driving factors behind emerging trends and how to best utilize this information to benefit businesses” said Chan Kin Peng, Founding Partner of Kasatria.

“At INTI, we are adamant on giving our students the most up-to-date learning to equip them with the knowledge and expertise needed in the industry. With the world quickly becoming a digitized space, it is necessary to understand the emergence of new trends, and how it impacts behaviour. I am very excited to see the outcome of our UOW students and Kasatria’s research findings,” said Dr. Jane Lim, the new CE of INTI Subang.

The grant of RM25,000 given to INTI by Kasatria will help facilitate all that is needed to conduct the research. This collaborative effort from INTI and Kasatria will culminate in joint ownership of academic rights to the research that will be used to spearhead a number of commercial applications throughout the industry.
