INTI International University has risen 48 places to rank 122 in the QS World University Rankings: Asia 2026, as released by QS Quacquarelli Symonds. The latest edition features 1,529 institutions across 25 higher education systems, making it the most comprehensive regional ranking to date.
Malaysia continues to strengthen its position in higher education, with 75 per cent of its ranked universities showing improvement this year. Among them, INTI International University stands out for its strong performance in internationalisation, earning high placements in International Faculty and Inbound and Outbound Exchange Students categories.

INTI International University has secured the 122nd position in the QS World University Rankings: Asia 2026, reflecting its steady progress and growing regional reputation. INTI also earned two QS Awards for Outstanding Learning Experience and Performance Improvement, affirming its focus on innovation, employability, and student success.
In addition to its improved ranking, INTI International University received two QS Awards for Learning Experience (Performance Improvement) and Overall Performance Improvement, recognising its continued focus on quality education, innovation, and positive student outcomes.
“Malaysia is one of Asia’s most improved higher education systems in the QS World University Rankings: Asia 2026 – continuing a positive trend seen in recent years,” said Ben Sowter, QS Senior Vice President. “This is an especially impressive achievement given that more than 550 institutions entered the rankings this year, meaning Malaysian universities have maintained and improved against an increasingly competitive environment.”

The 17th edition of the QS Asia Rankings highlights a dynamic and increasingly competitive higher education landscape across the region. Malaysia joins Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR, Singapore, and Thailand as one of only five systems in Asia to record overall improvement this year.
