“I felt relieved,” shared 18-year-old Fateen, who recalled how she felt when she first received news that she was one of the many successful Chairman’s Award recipients at her university.

Fateen binti Mohamad Pazli is currently pursuing her Diploma in Business online at INTI International College Penang

The youngest of four who enrolled with INTI International College Penang (INTI) in the midst of the pandemic shared that she had learnt of the scholarship opportunity from her older sister, who was also a former award recipient at INTI. Fateen expressed that she would not have been able to afford the private tuition for herself if not for INTI’s Chairman’s Award.

“Private education is quite expensive for my family and I to be honest,” opened up Fateen.

“However, I knew about the scholarship opportunity, so I decided to try and apply for it. After my parents and I received news that I was granted the award and learnt that we did not have to pay for the full sum of my tuition, we were very glad,” she expressed.

Currently pursuing her Diploma in Business at INTI, Fateen shared that once she completes her diploma, she also intends on pursuing her bachelor’s degree at INTI, although her choice of programme still remains to be determined.

“There is a high likelihood I may pursue a degree in linguistics!” said Fateen when asked about her academic aspirations.

Mohamad Ezzat bin Mohamed Yusoff is currently pursuing his academic dream with INTI’s New South Wales’s TAFE Advanced Diploma of Accounting programme

Mohamad Ezzat bin Mohamed Yusoff – a successful award recipient himself – shared that INTI was always his number one choice of university, because it offered the exact programme that he wanted to pursue.

“I wanted to enrol into New South Wales’s TAFE Advanced Diploma of Accounting programme and it was only available at INTI. Before I enrolled, I was also assured of a quality education, world class facilities and ample resources, so it felt like the best choice for me!” said Ezzat.

After spending nearly six months with INTI, Ezzat shared that INTI has managed to live up to his expectations. The icing on the cake was when he learnt he was granted the award too.

“I was delighted when I found out! I felt truly honoured and privileged. My faith in myself increased tremendously after I received the news and ever since then, it has also continued to motivate me as I progress through my studies, ” said a committed young Ezzat.

Additionally, Ezzat said that he feels extremely hopeful that his award achievements will also increase his chances with future employers once he enters the workforce, so he is determined to succeed.

Empathising with the economic struggles of many households today as a result of the still-looming COVID-19 pandemic, Tan Lin Nah, Chief Executive Officer of INTI International University & Colleges, tells parents that they do not have to put their children’s education on hold even in the midst of a global crisis.

In fact, she says that it is even necessary to forge ahead where possible, now more than ever.

“Investing now will offer earlier chances of security in the longer term for the child and for the family,” opined Lin Nah.

She conveyed that INTI also offers numerous financial aid opportunities that are applicable for almost every programme, providing a variety of options to both parents and students.

“We strive to offer assistance to the best of our abilities to any parent who dreams of a world-class education for their children, while lightening the burden on their pockets,” she said.
