Cambridge A Level students across INTI’s campuses enjoyed an overall passing rate of 98 per cent, with 62 per cent of them scoring 3As and above and 18 percent achieving 4A*s and above in the June 2011 exam. The recently released results indicate that they have the right approach to excel in a challenging yet globally recognized pre-university examination.
Yeo Ciuyi, 19, obtained 4A*s + 1A to become the top scorer at INTI International College Subang. Having set her sights on becoming an engineer, Yeo was grateful to her dedicated lecturers for setting the pathway that leads to her ambition.

“Students at INTI are encouraged to analyse and practice what we have learnt in class instead of being provided solutions. This made us search for answers and think for ourselves, which is what learning is really about,” said Yeo.
At INTI International University, Yu Khaye Phoo @ Bobby, 19, attributed her 2A*s + 2As to a highly satisfying study environment where “the supportive lecturers and healthy competitive atmosphere in class made learning easy and even fun.”
“I learned more than what I set out to. Being a part of the uniquely diverse student community at INTI has taught me to respect and appreciate different cultures and religions. I intend to pursue my degree studies in Australia, and I believe INTI has provided the best academic and social foundation for my success,” she added.
The high level of preparedness of INTI students for the Cambridge A Level exam is also evident from the excellent results enjoyed by INTI International College Penang candidates.
Leading the pack of high achievers were Chan Jer Wei, Choon Xin Yi and Khoo Teng Jian, with 4 A*s + 1A each. Khoo, who had also gained recognition earlier this year for “Top in Malaysia for AS (Advanced Subsidiary) Mathematics” and “Second Place in Malaysia for Best of 4 AS Subjects” in the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards Ceremony, scored an average percentage uniform mark of 99.8. His outstanding A Level result is exemplary of the consistency displayed by INTI’s top students throughout their study period.
INTI College Sarawak also abounds with success stories. A passing rate of 100 per cent – consistent with past years’ results – and an impressive 36 per cent of the candidates scoring 3 to 4 As at the AS level – marks another successful outcome for the popular programme at INTI. Students like Chua Hui Jen, Tiong Ing Kiat and Ang Sze Tieng – with 11 As between them – were able to excel in their studies due to the effective teaching and learning processes which help students to realize their full potentials.
