New Leadership at INTI IU Set to Enhance Educational Excellence

Distinguished educationist and corporate leader YBhg. Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Utama Arshad Bin Ayub was installed as the first Chancellor of INTI International University (INTI IU) in a ceremony held concurrently with INTI IU’s Class of 2013 Graduation Ceremony.

 

Having served as the founding director of Institute Technology MARA (now known as UniversitiTeknologi MARA), Chairman of the Board of Directors for Universiti Malaya, Pro Chancellor of UniversitiTeknologi MARA and Governor of KolejTuankuJaafar, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri UtamaArshad has vast experience and contributed extensively to Malaysia’s education sector.

 
 

Tan Sri ArshadAyub internationalized education by introducing expatriate lecturers and external examiners. He has also pioneered the first Malaysian twinning programmes with US universities and set up the country’s largest language centre.

The graduation ceremony following the installation of Tan Sri ArshadAyubsaw more than 270 INTI graduates receiving their hard-earned scrolls, with an impressive 91% of them achieving First or Second Class Honours in Accountancy, Business Administration, International Business, Financial Planning, Mass Communication, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Information Technology, Internet & Multimedia Computing, Network & Mobile Computing and Biotechnology. In addition, more than 180 diploma level students graduated in fields of study ranging from Civil Engineering and Information & Communication Technology to Quantity Surveying and Pharmacy.

 

INTI IU has been developing its higher education infrastructure, human resources and intellectual capital for close to 30 years. Its alumni, who have been the country’s flag bearers the world over,demonstrate evidenceof its success and commitment to its vision and mission.
