INTI Students Team Up with Babes Society for a Stylish Collaboration

December 6, 2024

What do students love to wear these days? Among the many trends in modern fashion, streetwear continues to stand out. Recognising its appeal, a group of students from INTI International College Subang’s Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration in collaboration with the University of Hertfordshire, UK programme, partnered with Babes Society, a women-focused streetwear brand founded in 2019.

Led by group leader Nurul Fatin Ameera Binti Ahmad, the team identified Babes Society for its bold and empowering image. “We chose Babes Society for its trendy, youthful brand identity that resonates with INTI students and promotes confidence and individuality as a women-empowering brand,” Fatin explained. The collaboration sought to blend the brand’s vibrant aesthetic with the dynamic culture of INTI students while providing hands-on project experience for the group.

With guidance from their lecturer, Raagavendra Rao Apparo, the students organised a two-day booth event at INTI International College Subang from 21 to 22 October 2024. At the heart of the event was an exclusive “INTI x Babes Society” lanyard, designed to integrate INTI’s logo with Babes Society’s signature hot pink motif. These lanyards, alongside other merchandise such as bags, sweaters, and baby tees, became the highlight of the collaboration. “One of our regrets for this entire project was not producing or preparing more lanyards because we did not expect such an amazing response from customers,” Fatin admitted, reflecting on the lanyards selling out on the second day.

The exclusive INTI x Babes Society lanyard, a standout item that combined bold design with campus spirit, sold out on the second day, generating over RM300 sales.

To build excitement, the students promoted the event through social media and enhanced the booth’s appeal with vibrant buntings from Babes Society. “We displayed the bunting at the entrance to enhance the aesthetic appeal of our booth,” shared group member Wee Suk Ye. They also created an interactive atmosphere with mini-games like spinning wheels and darts, offering vouchers as prizes. “We prepared mini-games at the booth to provide visitors with activities and encourage interaction with the group,” Fatin added.

The event quickly became a hub of activity, drawing students eager to explore the merchandise and participate in the games. The lanyard’s popularity underscored the impact of thoughtful design and strategic engagement. The team demonstrated how creative ideas and effective collaboration can leave a lasting impression by bringing Babes Society onto campus. This initiative captured attention during the event and highlighted the potential for more meaningful partnerships between students and emerging brands.
