September 26, 2024

INTI International University promotes global knowledge exchange by encouraging its faculty to participate in international conferences and establish partnerships with institutions worldwide. These efforts offer faculty members valuable opportunities to share their expertise and collaborate with professionals and scholars from diverse backgrounds.

During the third quarter of 2024, eight faculty members from INTI participated in various events and initiatives abroad. These experiences expanded their academic perspectives, allowing them to exchange knowledge and gain exposure to new cultures, bringing back fresh insights to enhance teaching and research at INTI.

One of the faculty members, Dr. Deshinta Arrova Devi, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Data Science and Information Technology, attended the 14th International Conference on Software Technology and Engineering (ICSTE 2024) in Macau. As a keynote speaker, she presented her work titled “Physiotherapy and Exercises Using Machine Learning Approaches: Advancing Health and Well-being through Technology.” Dr. Deshinta highlighted how machine learning revolutionises physiotherapy, enabling more personalised rehabilitation methods. “The conference was an excellent platform to exchange ideas with global experts and gain new insights into the future of healthcare technology,” she remarked.

Similarly, Professor Dr. Tezara Cionita and Associate Professor Dr. Nurhaniza Abdul Rahmad from the Faculty of Engineering and Quantity Surveying represented INTI at the 13th Engineering International Conference (EIC) 2024 in Semarang, Indonesia. Dr. Tezara’s keynote, “Natural Composite Materials: A Solution to Reduce Carbon Emissions,” emphasised the importance of using renewable materials in engineering to reduce environmental impact. Dr. Nurhaniza, who received the Best Presenter Award for her work on the “Resilience Home Tiny House,” showcased a unique housing design that replaces conventional steel with fibre steel. This innovation aligns with several global sustainability goals and sparked significant interest among attendees.
