INTI International University & Colleges signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Asia Aquaculture Sdn. Bhd. on 7 July 2022. The collaboration aims to further encourage educational opportunities for Asia Aquaculture’s employees under the Working Professional Programmes offered by INTI.
In a signing ceremony held at INTI International University, Nilai, the MoU was signed by Chong Kok Wai, Chief Executive Officer of INTI International University & Colleges, and Weerawut Hiranmateekul, Director of Asia Aquaculture Sdn. Bhd.
Under the MoU, the partnership will allow INTI students pursuing programmes in Biotechnology, IT, and Business to benefit from guest lectures, employer projects, internship opportunities, and workshops on water quality testing as value-added training for undergraduate Biotech students. The partnership will also allow INTI to receive advice from Asia Aquaculture representatives on curriculum improvements in future Industry Advisory Board meetings. Meanwhile, employees of Asia Aquaculture can enjoy a discount on tuition fees for programmes at INTI. This benefit is also extended to their children and spouse.
In his words of commitment at the ceremony, Weerawut Hiranmateekul expressed that Asia Aquaculture looks forward to the collaboration.
“As a leading integrated aquaculture business, we are committed to supporting the partnership with INTI to ensure that the initiatives are successfully carried out,” he said.
Commenting on the partnership, Kok Wai said it will help INTI create more qualified, competent, and capable graduates.
“We are grateful for the support from Asia Aquaculture in providing our students opportunities and experiences to increase their knowledge and improve their skills in whatever field they choose to pursue,” said Kok Wai.
