INTI College Sabah takes immense pride in celebrating the exceptional accomplishments of its outstanding graduates, who received remarkable distinctions during the convocation ceremony held on 15 July 2023.

The success of these exceptional graduates stands as a testament to the unwavering commitment of INTI College Sabah’s esteemed industry partners, the SME Association of Sabah and ACCA Malaysia. These invaluable partners have played an instrumental role in nurturing talent to ensure that graduates are well-equipped for their entry into the workforce.
Each of the award recipients was acknowledged for their outstanding academic achievements and received RM1000. The top three awardees, namely Loo Shi Yun Sylwin, Kam Lu Teng, and Lau Jia Xin, truly shone among their peers.

Loo Shi Yun Sylwin, a graduate of the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Business Administration 3+0 programme in collaboration with the University of Hertfordshire, UK, was honoured with the prestigious SME Sabah Industry Award for Commitment to Excellence. Throughout her academic journey, Loo demonstrated exceptional dedication to excellence, both inside and outside the classroom. She was also recognized for her contribution to the UH Badminton Sports Team during her Study Abroad Programme further exemplified her commitment to all-round excellence.
Reflecting on her achievement, Loo expressed her delight, saying, “It is still surreal that I was chosen as an award recipient among so many outstanding students. This recognition reflects my dedication and provides me with valuable industry connections. It reassures me that I am on the right path in developing my career.”
Loo emphasized the importance of building meaningful relationships with people who value education, as it fosters fresh perspectives in problem-solving and enhances her desire to learn.
Loo’s passion for excellence was evident in her study habits, attention to detail, and effective time management skills.
“I rarely do extra revision except when examinations or assessments are approaching. I would write down key points from each lesson and approach my lecturer to have better understanding,” she explained.
As a recent graduate, Loo is determined to put her academic achievements into practice, focusing on expanding her business network and gaining valuable job experience to enhance her professional opportunities.
Meanwhile, INTI College Sabah proudly acknowledged Kam Lu Teng and Lau Jia Xin from the Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Accounting and Finance 3+0 programme in collaboration with the University of Hertfordshire, UK. Both individuals were awarded the prestigious ACCA Industry Award for ACCA Best Accounting Graduate, a well-deserved recognition for their remarkable grasp of their chosen field, outstanding academic performance, and exemplary leadership skills.
Kam Lu Teng, a 24-year-old graduate, expressed her gratitude that her hard work and commitment towards academic excellence have finally paid off.
“I remember undertaking an intensive research project on financial reporting standards. The project was challenging and required extensive research and analysis. I dedicated countless hours to studying accounting principles, consulting academic journals, and collaborating with my peers to gather valuable insights,” Kam Lu Teng shared.
Additionally, she actively participated in numerous co-curricular activities, organizing seminars and workshops for her fellow students.
To excel academically, she emphasized the importance of staying focused and efficiently scheduling activities.
“I often schedule out all activities so that I do not leave anything important for last,” she said, attributing her success to hard work, perseverance, and support from family, lecturers, and friends at INTI College Sabah.
The achievements of these graduates have made INTI College Sabah proud and is a source of motivation to others.
