Khoo Chuang Li, Senior Finance Director and Penang Site Lead of AMD, said the positive experience with INTI interns and graduates encouraged the company to deepen its collaboration with the institution. She said, “Since 2024, AMD has had the pleasure of working closely with INTI on several meaningful initiatives. The interns and graduates we welcomed into our teams consistently demonstrated strong technical capabilities, professionalism, and a genuine eagerness to learn. These experiences give us confidence in building a sustainable pipeline of future-ready talent together”.
Khoo added, “Working closely with higher education institutions helps bridge the gap between theory and real-world application. Together, we can ensure graduates are industry-ready, adaptable, and equipped with the skills needed to keep pace with emerging technologies, including AI.”
Through this initiative, AMD will establish advisory panels, host knowledge-sharing sessions, and drive career engagement and talent development programs. These efforts will help participants better understand industry expectations while staying informed about developments in AI and semiconductor technology.
Hemalatha Murugiah, Chief Executive of INTI International College Penang, said, “This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to shaping future-ready talent and advancing technological excellence. We see strong potential for cooperation in areas such as AI, semiconductor technologies, applied research, and industry-driven innovation”.
