Since June 2019, INTI has provided free LinkedIn Learning subscriptions to all of its staff, ensuring full access to a plethora of world-class content. The platform provides over 11,000 available courses ranging from professional to personal development programmes, and can be accessed anytime and anywhere on any device, online or offline.

Speaking about INTI’s subscription to LinkedIn Learning, Tan Lin Nah, Chief Executive Officer of INTI, shares that she believes it is important for businesses to adopt talent retention strategies focusing on employees’ learning and training opportunities, particularly in response to the pandemic and IR 4.0.

“Investing in employees’ through upskilling, reskilling and continued learning opportunities helps create a more resilient and agile organisation,” says the leader of an organisation that has been established for close to 35 years.

“It also equips employees with the relevant skillsets needed to thrive in this ‘new’ future workforce, thus fostering adaptable processes in the face of a global crisis,” she adds.

Eddie Soon, a Mass Communication lecturer specialising in production-based modules at INTI International University, shares that having access to LinkedIn Learning felt like having a pot of gold, because of its vast number of up-to-date and relevant content.

“Since technology is rapidly evolving in industries and LinkedIn Learning’s content are taught by industry experts, I am able to stay up-to-date with the latest software, applications and life-hacks available. This, in turn, helps me improve my teaching, since I am able to share what I have learnt with my students,” said Eddie.

The top learner on INTI’s LinkedIn Learning opines that some of the information found on LinkedIn Learning cannot be found anywhere else, making it an even more treasured resource for academicians at INTI.

Fiona Charles, an administrative officer at INTI Subang’s Centre for Australian Programmes and one of INTI’s top learners on LinkedIn Learning, shares that apart from the convenience and accessibility of the platform, she is also grateful to LinkedIn Learning for helping her in her personal development.

“I have become more responsible, effective, and disciplined, and I have learnt how to not shy away from challenges, as a result of LinkedIn Learning. These skills have helped me become a better employee, especially since we are required to work from home during this period,” said Fiona.

Citing Fiona’s and Eddie’s successes, Lin Nah reemphasises that learning opportunities are an extremely vital step for organisations to provide during this time, as we undergo a constant stream of innovations, rapid digital transformation and extreme uncertainties.
