In a world where dreams often collide with the harsh realities of life, Anusia Ramasamy emerges as a shining example, proving that shattering the glass ceiling is not just a dream but an attainable reality. A distinguished alumna of INTI International College Subang (IICS) with two decades of experience in the oil and gas industry, Anusia’s journey is more than just a story; it’s a captivating account of conquering challenges and the relentless pursuit of dreams.
At the tender age of six, she harboured dreams of becoming a queen, driven by childhood fantasies and an unwavering determination. Reflecting on those innocent aspirations, Anusia remarked, “Little did I know that the path involved more than marrying a prince; it demanded resilience, education, and an unquenchable thirst for knowledge.”
Anusia graduated from INTI in 2004 as the valedictorian of her class and recipient of the Best Project Award.
Anusia’s pursuit of her dreams led her to the Miss Malaysia India Worldwide stage—a pivotal moment in her life that encapsulated triumphs and trials. She candidly shared “Becoming a finalist in the Miss Malaysia India Worldwide competition in 2001 was a turning point in my life.”
“However, it also made me confront the reality that my English skills were not as robust as I wished. This realisation became the driving force behind my unwavering commitment to education and self-improvement,” she continued.
Growing up in a household where her parents lacked formal education but possessed a determination to provide their children with opportunities they never had, Anusia’s formative years were filled with books as companions of curiosity. Her academic journey commenced at INTI International College Subang (IICS), where she initially pursued Information Technology Business, envisioning a future as a programmer.
Anusia discovered her true passion after transitioning from the oil and gas industry to becoming a keynote speaker.
However, her path took an unexpected twist, marked by accolades such as the Best Project Award, Valedictorian Honors, and graduation as the top student. Anusia’s extraordinary achievements led her to become an INTI ambassador, earning her recognition that even graced The Star newspaper with the headline ‘Lass Who’s Got It All.’
Acknowledging her academic success, she humbly stated, “When you prove your abilities, the rewards naturally follow—it just happens. Of course, hard work is a prerequisite. My lecturers, parents, and friends supported me throughout this journey.”

Venturing into the corporate world, Anusia became part of the Maxis graduate program before aligning her priorities with her love and passion for her family by joining the VG Group of Companies in 2006. With strategic vision and leadership, she transformed the company into one of Southeast Asia’s leading players in offshore containers, earning recognition as one of the Top 50 Enterprises in Malaysia.
Reflecting on her corporate journey, Anusia remarked, “Every industry has unique characteristics, yet certain formulas offer a degree of certainty. It’s an ongoing learning journey, investing considerable effort, conducting thorough research, and putting in the hard work required for success.”
The accolades continued to pour in, with Anusia securing the ASEAN Woman Entrepreneur and Outstanding Women Leader in STEM awards in 2016. However, the entrepreneurial journey faced a roadblock in 2017, prompting Anusia to venture into a new realm – public speaking.
Eemphasising the importance of not confining oneself to a single role, Anusia established AverNoble Sdn Bhd and ventured into the world of training, recognising the power of her voice and the profound impact of holding a microphone.
Proving that resilience is essential for overcoming obstacles, she shared, “The Movement Control Order (MCO) presented a challenging moment, but it ultimately served as the stepping stone that propelled AverNoble to global growth.”
Anusia’s journey extends beyond the corporate world to her roles at Velserve Venture Sdn Bhd as their Co-Founder, advocating for sustainable solutions with environmentally friendly biodegradable and compostable products.
Challenging the status quo, she said, “Did you know that plastic that doesn’t break apart is a hundred times better than plastic that does? We’re inhaling plastic dust, and it’s pervasive in the air.”
She added, “Using materials crafted from corn resin, we are committed to creating a better environment today and securing a sustainable legacy for future generations.”
Anusia and the AverNoble team attended the National Human Capital Conference & Exhibition (NHCCE) in 2023.
In social media, Anusia imparts valuable advice to the younger generation, urging, “Collect as many experiences as you can. Remember, it’s not all about the numbers – followers don’t define everything.”
