This year’s top winner was Siti Ainulmursyida Shamsudin, a Special Education teacher at SMK Orkid Desa in Kuala Lumpur. Chosen from more than 2,300 applicants, she was recognised for her work in improving inclusive education. She created the PEKA OKU digital platform, which uses an AI-powered chatbot to help students with disabilities find scholarships, training, and career opportunities. Her efforts have supported more than 300 students across Malaysia, with several going on to represent the country at international competitions.

As part of the award, Siti Ainul received RM50,000 and a Full Postgraduate Scholarship from INTI International University & Colleges, bringing the total prize value to RM120,000. The scholarship shows INTI’s commitment to supporting lifelong learning and the professional growth of educators.

Prof. Dr Shamsul Nahar Abdullah, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic Operations) of INTI International University, congratulated the winner.

“INTI International University & Colleges is honoured to collaborate with PEMIMPIN in recognising the nation’s most inspiring educators. Cikgu Siti Ainul embodies passion, perseverance, and purpose – the hallmarks of a true educator,” he said. “We look forward to continuing our efforts to empower teachers through learning opportunities that enhance their impact in the classroom and beyond.”

YB Fadhlina Sidek, Minister of Education Malaysia, also attended the ceremony and praised the collaboration behind the initiative.

“Teachers are a critical pillar of nation building as they directly impact the growth and development of young Malaysians. It is encouraging to see stakeholders, including PEMIMPIN, YTL Foundation, Yayasan Hasanah, ECM Libra Foundation, and INTI International University & Colleges, joining hands to elevate the profession and give teachers the recognition they deserve,” she said.
