INTI Signs MoU with Asia Pacific Entrepreneur Chamber of Commerce (APEACC)

INTI International University & Colleges has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Asia Pacific Entrepreneur Associate Chamber of Commerce (APEACC) and its member companies. This collaboration is expected to open new pathways for academic-industry cooperation, driving advancements in education and business. The signing ceremony, held at the INTI International University on 10 September 2024, saw participation from key APEACC member companies, including Aeruma Group, Fipper Marketing, Inspire Office System, IWC Asia, Luxberry Sdn Bhd, MGT Business Solution, X-Consultancy, and Malaysia Law Institution.

Chong Kok Wai, CEO of INTI International University & Colleges, who represented INTI during the signing, highlighted the significance of the collaboration. “This partnership will allow our students and faculty to access cutting-edge technology, industry expertise, and resources to enhance their academic journey. APEACC’s strong network of businesses will provide us with invaluable opportunities for research, practical learning, and talent development,” Kok Wai said.

Dato’ Sri Wynz See Chin Ling, President of APEACC, signed on behalf of APEACC and expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration. He stated, “APEACC is proud to partner with INTI to create avenues for knowledge exchange and innovation. Drawing inspiration from INTI’s motto, ‘Your Future Built Today’, we will build a future together through this collaboration.”

The MoU outlines areas of cooperation focused on knowledge exchange, including advisory services from INTI’s lecturers through i-MOOC, as well as short-term courses and training. After graduation, INTI’s students will benefit from employment and internship opportunities with APEACC members.

Several member companies of APEACC have expressed specific plans for collaboration. Aeruma Group, an IT company known for its CSR activities, has shown interest in donating IT hardware, such as laptops and accessories, directly benefiting INTI’s students and faculty.
INTI will offer corporate discounts to APEACC members and their families as part of the agreement. These include a 30% discount on the Working Professional Programme for members and their spouses and a 16% discount for siblings and children enrolling at INTI. Several APEACC members have also expressed interest in pursuing higher education, with some currently enrolled in Postgraduate degrees and planning to continue with INTI’s PhD programmes.

This MoU sets the foundation for a promising future of collaboration between INTI and APEACC, enriching the educational experience for students while strengthening ties between academia and industry. Both parties are eager to work together to deliver tangible benefits for their communities and stakeholders.
