To strengthen educational and professional development, INTI International University & Colleges (INTI) has entered into a unique partnership agreement with the Malaysia-Myanmar Business Chamber (MMBC). This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aims to leverage the strengths of both institutions, promoting mutual growth and development in various strategic areas.
The signing ceremony took place on 30 April at the Embassy of Malaysia in Yangon, Myanmar. Naomi Yang, Assistant Vice President of Career Services at INTI, and Siva Prakash Shanmugam, President of MBCC, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organisations. Johan Ariff Abdul Razak, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Malaysia in Myanmar, witnessed the event.

The MoU opens the door for cooperation, particularly in providing educational opportunities for MMBC members and their families through INTI’s Working Professionals Programme (WPP) with fee subsidies. These programmes help working adults enhance their skills and advance their careers without compromising their professional commitments.
Naomi expressed her enthusiasm for the new partnership. “This collaboration expands our reach and impact. We are making education more accessible and affordable, fostering a generation of learners who will continue to drive our communities forward,” she said. She emphasised that this partnership is about education and empowering individuals to contribute meaningfully to their societies.
Siva Prakash highlighted the importance of such partnerships in today’s globalised world. “This agreement addresses some pertinent issues companies face, such as employee retention and upskilling. INTI’s efforts here in Myanmar will be invaluable, as MMBC aims to help local corporates and companies through beneficial partnerships,” he noted. Shanmugam also pointed out that the collaboration will involve workshops, seminars, and exchange programmes designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of professionals in Myanmar.
Meanwhile, Johan Ariff added that INTI’s arrival is timely, believing that this collaboration will unlock more potential for youth education development in Myanmar. “INTI has arrived at the right time, providing opportunities for our youth to gain the education and skills needed to thrive in a competitive global market,” he said.
