The Faculty of Health and Life Sciences (FHLS) at INTI International University achieved another milestone with the successful hosting of the Tech Talk and ESG+USR Postmortem Gathering. The event featured a keynote address on ‘Medicinal Fungi as Superfood’ delivered by Ms. Evonne Leng, General Manager of Happy Health (M) Sdn. Bhd.
The gathering celebrated FHLS’s achievement in organizing the I-Am-Fung-tastic program in collaboration with HAPPY HEALTH 康乐®, a local traditional Chinese medicine company. This program, conducted across four branches of Qdees Kindergarten in Selangor and Negeri Sembilan, aimed to educate young children about the significance of fungi in people’s lives, while demonstrating the cultivation process of oyster mushrooms.
Ms. Leng’s insightful speech highlighted the importance of medicinal fungi, sparking meaningful discussions among attendees. The session culminated in an appreciation ceremony, where certificates were awarded to the main sponsor, Happy Health, and dedicated FHLS students for their invaluable contributions to the program’s success.
The Tech Talk and ESG+USR Postmortem Gathering underscored FHLS’s commitment to promoting environmental awareness and holistic education, while fostering collaboration between academia and industry for the betterment of society.
