The Hengqin Cooperation Zone is set to boost economic development between mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao. However, a lack of interoperability in fintech services between Macao and Hengqin may hinder adoption. Our research identifies key factors affecting Macao residents’ adoption of fintech services and offers insights for improvement.
