PPKOMP Online Programming Competition

Students from the Web Application Development (PRG3204) programme participated in the PPKOMP Online Programming Competition, a national-level competition aimed at strengthening computational thinking, problem-solving, and programming skills.

The competition challenged participants to solve algorithmic problems individually using approved programming languages within a fixed time frame. Through this experience, students were exposed to competitive programming environments that encouraged independent learning, logical reasoning, and practical application of programming knowledge.

Participation in the competition also helped students improve time management skills, build confidence in solving structured programming problems, and enhance their ability to apply theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios. The activity provided valuable exposure to analytical thinking and problem-solving techniques that are essential in the field of computing and software development.

In addition, the programme supported the learning outcomes of the Web Application Development course, including understanding PHP fundamentals, handling arrays and functions, and developing advanced form handling, session management, and database integration skills.

Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education), the initiative promoted high-quality learning experiences while enhancing student engagement and strengthening the institution’s visibility through participation in external academic competitions.
