The programme, “Promoting Active Lifestyles for a Healthier Life,” was conducted to raise awareness on the importance of physical activity and its role in improving overall health and well-being. The session focused on helping participants understand the differences between a sedentary lifestyle and an active one, while encouraging healthier daily habits.
Participants were introduced to the benefits of physical activity in supporting activities of daily living (ADL), along with practical knowledge of different types of exercises that can improve physical fitness. The programme also aimed to build participants’ confidence in performing exercises correctly and safely.
The initiative addressed the growing concerns of sedentary behaviour, which is increasingly associated with health risks such as obesity, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and mental health issues. Participants gained a clearer understanding of how regular physical activity can help prevent these conditions and enhance quality of life.
Overall, the programme highlighted the importance of adopting an active lifestyle as both an individual responsibility and a shared effort towards building healthier and more resilient communities.
