A STEM Carnival was organised to promote interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) among primary and secondary school students. The initiative aligns with national efforts to strengthen STEM education and introduce emerging fields such as drones and robotics.
As part of the programme, the Faculty of Engineering and Quantity Surveying set up interactive booths to engage students in hands-on learning. Through activities, quizzes, and demonstrations, students explored key STEM concepts and gained a better understanding of how technology is applied in real-world contexts.
The event also served as a platform to connect the school community with the university, encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing. It aimed to inspire young learners while introducing them to university culture and learning environments.
In addition, the programme reflects the university’s commitment to community engagement through USR/CSR initiatives. It supports the development of teamwork, communication, and leadership skills among participants, while promoting sustainable and innovative thinking.
Overall, the STEM Carnival provided an engaging and meaningful experience, strengthening the link between academia and the community while fostering interest in future STEM pathways.
