As part of its commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement, FDSIT organized a beach clean-up initiative at Tanjung Tuan, Port Dickson, on 17 August 2025. The programme was held in collaboration with the Buddhist Missionary Society Malaysia and involved approximately 25 participants from INTI, including lecturers and students.
The initiative aimed to reduce marine pollution by removing plastic and harmful waste from coastal areas, while also protecting marine and land ecosystems. Through this activity, participants contributed to preserving biodiversity and maintaining a cleaner natural environment.
In addition to the clean-up efforts, the programme emphasized educational and knowledge-sharing elements to raise awareness about environmental conservation. It also encouraged active community involvement and promoted responsible environmental practices.
The initiative supports several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12), Life Below Water (SDG 14), Life on Land (SDG 15), and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17). Overall, the programme reflects a collective effort to promote sustainability and strengthen collaboration between institutions and the community.
