INTI International University marked a significant milestone at MAGNET 2026 as international student participants from 30 countries came together for a collective University Inclusivity Pledge, celebrating respect, understanding and unity across cultures.
Achieved on 1 October 2026, the “Most Nations in a University Inclusivity Pledge” was recognised by The Malaysia Book of Records, with the Department of Higher Education Malaysia named as the record holder. The achievement marked the first Malaysia Book of Records recognition established through a MAGNET initiative, made possible through the collaboration between Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) and INTI International University.
The pledge brought together students representing 30 countries around a common set of values, including respect for different cultures, dignity and fairness. More than a record-setting achievement, the occasion provided a meaningful reflection of the diverse international community within Malaysia’s higher education landscape.
As the host institution, INTI International University was proud to support MAGNET 2026 and contribute to an initiative that brought together students from across the globe. The event also provided opportunities for participants to experience cultural exchange, share perspectives and gain a broader understanding of the different communities represented within the programme.
INTI International University continues to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 Quality Education and SDG 10 Reduced Inequalities, by promoting inclusive learning environments, encouraging respect for cultural diversity and creating opportunities for students from different backgrounds to connect and contribute to a more inclusive society.
The achievement reflects the potential of higher education to create meaningful opportunities for cultural exchange and collaboration. Through MAGNET 2026, INTI International University continues to support initiatives that enrich the student experience while contributing to a more connected and socially responsible community.
