What is APEL?
Accreditation for Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) provides an opportunity for individuals with working experience but lack formal academic qualifications to pursue studies at Higher Education Institutions. In general, knowledge obtained through both formal education and work experience is assessed.
APEL involves the identification, documentation and assessment of prior experiential learning to determine the extent to which and individual has achieved the desired learning outcomes, for access to a programme of study and/or award of credits.
