INTI International University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with member universities of the Council of Rector Indonesia State University (MRPTNI) in a ceremony held at Universitas Negeri Surabaya on 15 May 2023. The MOU reaffirms INTI’s commitment to collaboration and partnership in higher education, marking a significant milestone for the institution as a globally engaged entity.
This initiative is an extension of INTI’s active partnerships with universities and colleges in various countries, including the UK, US, Australia, China, and several ASEAN countries. Indonesia is a crucial partner, given the cultural similarities and the enduring understanding, trust and friendship between the people of Malaysia and Indonesia that has led to successful collaborative projects in the past.
The partnership with member universities of the Council of Rector Indonesia State University is particularly exciting for INTI, as it aims to provide students with opportunities to serve communities and gain exposure in a global environment. This initiative opens doors to future collaborations and enhances international education.
Dr. Joseph Lee, Vice Chancellor of INTI International University, expressed enthusiasm for the project and anticipates that the MOU will serve as a starting point for numerous other collaborative opportunities. The MOU commits both parties to work closely together towards common objectives in international education. Joint faculty research, staff exchange programs, international conferences, online symposiums, guest lectures and customized short-term training programs are among the significant activities that both sides aspire to pursue.
Dr. Joseph Lee also extends sincere gratitude to colleagues from the Embassy of Indonesia in Malaysia for their invaluable insights, goodwill and friendship that has facilitated the signing of this MOU.
The signing of the MOU represents a significant step towards furthering INTI’s commitment to international education, creating opportunities for students to learn and grow in different environments while fostering collaboration and innovation with partner institutions.
