and Inspection focused on recent technologies used to prevent, detect, and monitor corrosion in engineering structures. The session highlighted the importance of corrosion management in maintaining the safety, reliability, durability, and sustainability of industrial, marine, offshore, and civil infrastructure.<\/p><p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"472\" data-end=\"1048\">Participants were introduced to modern corrosion protection approaches, including protective coatings, cathodic protection, corrosion inhibitors, and advanced surface treatments. The session also explored inspection and monitoring technologies such as non-destructive testing (NDT), structural health monitoring (SHM), sensor-based systems, and artificial intelligence-assisted damage detection. These technologies support early identification of corrosion and structural deterioration, enabling more effective maintenance and extending the service life of engineering assets.<\/p><p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1050\" data-end=\"1361\">The programme also emphasised sustainable asset management through corrosion prevention, condition assessment, and predictive maintenance. Effective corrosion control can help reduce material wastage, minimise premature replacement, and lower the environmental impact associated with maintaining infrastructure.<\/p><p dir=\"auto\" data-start=\"1363\" data-end=\"1918\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">The session recorded positive learning outcomes, with 87% of participants reporting enhanced knowledge of corrosion protection and inspection technologies. Awareness of corrosion prevention, structural integrity assessment, and condition monitoring increased to 98%, while 87% expressed strong interest in further learning and practical applications. These responses demonstrate the value of the programme in strengthening participants\u2019 understanding of current corrosion management technologies and their applications in engineering
