Approximately 35 preschool students and teachers were involved in this event. The kids were three to six years old, of different ethnicity and background. The ice-breaking session, which was conducted by the 7 students from the CSFI program (Biology II), received warm participation from the children and the activity went well with the children getting their hands into germinating the oyster mushrooms. The activity was also supported by one of the co-organizers, Happy Health (M) Sdn Bhd, of which they supplied the mushroom spores, petrol subsidy, and sponsored for the closing ceremony of the event and introduced the fungal essence herbal product to the parents. Based on the verbal communication, the children and their parents are looking forward to future activities that can raise the interest of the children in mushroom cultivation. The principal of the kindergarten is also keen to pursue future collaboration with INTI International University that are educative towards the children.
