On 27th October 2023, the members of group one went to the refugee
centre to conduct the fun learning activities with the refugees in the Full
Gospel Assembly located at Kajang. We reached the centre at 1pm and we
did the set up as well as the briefing for the activities. We started the
activities at approximately 2pm.
Firstly, we do the ice breaking with the kids by playing some songs and have
fun with them. After the ice breaking activity, we play, Simon says.
Surprisingly the children can follow the instructions well. One of our
members, Siaw Sze, led the activity of Find the Rhymes and the introduction
of the song ” Itsy Bitsy Spider”. It is followed by doing handcraft of the spider,
so that the children can sing and dance together with their handicraft.
All the group members were involved in doing handicraft with them. We
ended the activity around 4pm and we went to a nearby restaurant to have
a meal together as well as debrief for the activities that we conducted with
the children.
