Step 1

All international students are advised to submit their application at least 6 weeks (1.5 months) prior to the commencement date of the intake to avoid any unnecessary delay in the admission process.

Complete the Application for Admission and Accommodation form.

Send the application form to the International Office (Admissions), together with the following :
  • Photocopy of passport with validity of at least 12 months (Two sets of clear copy of the whole passport including ALL the blank pages)
  • 8 (Eight) passport-sized photographs with light blue background (3.5 cm x 5 cm)
  • 2 (Two) Certified true copies of all academic qualifications (in English Translation)
  • 2 (Two) Certified true copies of English Language Proficiency (if applicable)
    • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
    • International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC)(Only applicable to students from Sub-Sahara Africa)
  • Eligibility Letter (Only applicable to students from Nigeria)
  • Release Letter & Attendance Record from your current institution (Only applicable for transferred Institute Students)
  • Application & Visa Processing Fees (inclusive of processing fee, medical insurance, medical screening & immigration fees) totalling RM2,500 / approx. USD835. You may pay the fees in the form of a bank draft or telegraph transfer the fee to our account as follows :

Step 2

If the application is successful, INTI will issue the Letter of Offer to you. If the application is unsuccessful, INTI will inform you in writing.

After the issuance of the Letter of Offer, INTI will submit your application for student visa to the Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) in Malaysia on your behalf. This process will take approximately 1 - 2 months.
Note: Students who are already in Malaysia on social visa are required to leave the country before submission of visa approval to EMGS.)

Step 3

  • Upon obtaining the Student Visa Approval Letter (VAL) from the Immigration Office, you are required to pay an advance tuition fee amounting to RM16,000 (USD5,335) being the "Prepaid Fee" before the Original Approval Letter is sent to you. INTI will scan to you a copy of the Approval Letter (if necessary).
  • Kindly bring the approval letter together with your passport to the nearest Malaysian Embassy/Consulate as you are required to obtain a single entry permit before entering Malaysia (if applicable).

Note: Student might have to top up any balance upon enrolment if the total fees payable is higher than the Prepaid Fee.

Step 4

You are required to inform INTI of your arrival details at least 5 (five) working days prior to your arrival in Malaysia. Kindly take note that you must be picked up by INTI's representative at the airport in order to obtain clearance from the Immigration checkpoint.

Arriving at INTI

As per the Malaysian Immigration Department's requirement, a college representative will meet the students on arrival at the airport. Our International Office Staff will meet and assist students at the Immigration check-point on arrival at the airport.

INTI International Office will acknowledge receipt of the student's Airport Arrival Form and provide the name and contact details of the INTI officer who is meeting the student at the airport.
Before departure, a student must bring along the following documents:
  1. Valid Passport
  2. High School certificates
  3. Original copy of VAL or Valid Entry Visa (for nationals who require a visa to enter Malaysia)
  4. Medical certificate / Report / Yellow Fever Card
Please fill up the disembarkation card which will be provided by the airline or obtainable at the airport arrival hall.
Upon arrival at KLIA / LCCT, you are required to proceed to the Immigration Office. If you are unsure of the direction, please approach the airport staff for assistance.
Arrivals at KLIA / LCCT: Please proceed to the Immigration Office to wait for an INTI officer to escort you through the Immigration checkout point for clearance.
Note
  • An INTI officer will normally wear an INTI t-shirt and carry INTI signage.
  • Please be reminded that Immigration will not release a student without the presence of an INTI officer.
Therefore, prior notification of arrival is important. Only a student with Student Pass Approval Letter can receive clearance to leave the airport.
The INTI officer will help you to check-in at the hostel (if you have booked a room in INTI's hostel). If not, the Officer will help you check-in at a hotel near the campus (within 5 km). If the hotel is more than 5 km from the campus, the INTI officer will arrange for a cab to take you there from the campus.

You must report to International Office (Services) upon arrival or the next working day during office hours (Mon - Fri, 9 am - 6 pm). The following needs to be done at International Office (Services):

Briefing for New Students
Students will be briefed by International Office (Services) staff on the following:
  • International Office (Services)
    functions & responsibilities
  • Attendance
  • Leave / Absence
  • Student Pass
  • Insurance
Other Matters
A Bank Letter will be given to you to open a bank account.

You will be given one (1) week to settle such matters after which you must submit your passport to International Office (Services) for endorsement of your student pass by the Immigration Department.

You are advised not to make any travelling plans while your passport is still with Immigration.
You will then proceed to the Accommodation Office for reporting. The Accommodation Office will then brief you on the hostel rules & regulations and an invoice will be generated for you to make payment.
You will have to sit for the English Placement Test unless you have been exempted from taking the test.

After the release of English Placement Test results, you will then proceed with subject / course enrolment with the assistance of International Office (Services) staff.

You will then proceed to the Finance Office to make payment of tuition fees (initial payment of RM13, 000.00) as well as hostel rental.

OAR will then issue a Student ID and time table to you if you have already made a payment for your course.

You have to submit your passport to the International Office (Services) one (1) week from your arrival date for student pass endorsement.

You will be given certified true copy of your passport info page and an acknowledgement slip as your temporary identification.

Failure to submit your passport for student pass endorsement may result in your overstaying on your current pass.
Once you have enrolled and your timetable has been issued, you have to attend classes according to your time-table.
