 Dr. Terry Halpin

Dr. Terry Halpin, BSc, DipEd, BA, MLitStud, PhD, is a Professor in computer science at INTI International University, Malaysia and a research consultant for LogicBlox, a datalog technology company based in the USA. He previously held senior faculty positions in computer science at The University of Queensland (Australia) and Neumont University (USA). His prior industrial experience includes several years in data modeling technology at Asymetrix Corporation, InfoModelers Inc., Visio Corporation, and Microsoft Corporation. His doctoral thesis formalized Object-Role Modeling (ORM/NIAM), and his current research focuses on conceptual data modeling, model driven development of information systems, business rules, and rule-based technology. He has authored over 160 journal or conference papers, six books, including Information Modeling and Relational Databases (Morgan Kaufmann) and has co-edited seven books on information systems modeling research. He is a member of IFIP WG 8.1 (Information Systems), is an associate editor or reviewer for several academic journals, is a regular columnist for the Business Rules Journal, and is a recipient of the DAMA International Achievement Award for Education (2002) and the IFIP Outstanding Service Award (2006).
 
 
 
 



Dr. Tony Morgan

Dr. Tony Morgan, BA, BSc, MSc, PhD, is a Professor in computer science at INTI International University, Malaysia. He was previously Distinguished Professor in computer science at Neumont University in the USA. His PhD research at the University of Cambridge focussed on automated decision-making using qualitative reasoning. His current research interests are centred around business rules and business processes and the rapid development of high-quality information systems. His wide industrial experience includes projects in Europe and the US with companies such as Unisys and EDS (now part of Hewlett-Packard) across diverse industries such as Government, Transportation, Aerospace and Financial Services. He also spent several years managing an academic spin-off company from a science campus in the UK. He has authored or co-authored three books and a large number of technical papers, and has presented at many events in Europe and the USA. He was editor of the Addison-Wesley "Insight" book series, and was awarded a special Martin Beale prize by SD-Scicon for excellence in publications.

    3. MUET Band 2 or 3 / TOEFL score of 550 / IELTS score of 6.0; OR
    4. Equivalent score from any of the above obtained at undergraduate level at a recognised university**
