Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is a medical study that originated in ancient China thousands of years ago. Practitioners are skilled in the knowledge of herbs, acupuncture, and other methods to treat a wide range of conditions.

Our Traditional Chinese Medicine Degree Programme is the first of its kind in Malaysia. It covers the basic, classic and professional approaches to healthcare by highly qualified Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners from both Malaysia and China.

You will be equipped with a strong scientific foundation, basic medical knowledge and over 2,200 hours of practical clinical skills training.

Entry Level Entry Requirements
Students who have taken Chinese in high school level, will be required to sit for a Chinese Challenge Examination. Upon passing, they will be exempted from Mandarin I and Mandarin II
INTI Foundation Completion of Foundation in Science with minimum CGPA of 2.5
Other Foundations Completion of Foundation programme with minimum CGPA of 2.5 with credit in Maths and two science subjects at SPM level

STPM (Science Stream)

CGPA of 2.5 and above
STPM (Arts Stream) CGPA of 2.5 and above with credit in Maths and 2 science subjects at SPM level

UEC

Minimum 5Bs (including Maths and one science subject)

A Level

2 principal passes (including Maths and one science subject)

SAM

Minimum 5 Cs with TER of 75 (including Maths and one science subject)

NSW HSC

Minimum 10 units with ATAR of 75 (including Maths and one science subject)

Australian Year 12

Canadian Pre-U

Minimum 6 passes (including Maths and one science subject) with an average score of 70%
Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Complimentary Medicine from Traditional and Complementary Medicine-recognised institutions or Ministry of Higher Education with CGPA of 2.5 and above
Diploma in Traditional and Complimentary Medicine with CGPA above 2.0 with at least two years working experience in the relevant discipline may also be considered
Any Diploma from Traditional and Complementary Medicine-recognised institutions or Ministry of Higher Education with CGPA 2.5 and above
Recognised degree holders in any disciplined are eligible for entry at the discretion of the University subject to the code of practice
AND evidence of English language proficiency for foreign students prior to entry
